Ep. 22 | The Power (and Responsibility) of Visibility

Jun 9, 2020 | 0 comments

This episode is my personal response to the unrest and upheaval which has followed the murder of George Floyd and far too many more black Americans.

I examine my own blind spots with regards to diversity including guests on this podcast, team members, clients and students of the Go Pitch Yourself program.

Through my work in the visibility space, I’m in a unique position to uplift and celebrate the voices of diverse female leaders and, moving forward, we are committed to doing that. I hope that you’ll join me in this.

The Power (and Responsibility) of Visibility

Topics covered include:

  • The importance of podcast guesting as a way to bolster the visibility of diverse voices
  • The need to diversify the voices that you listen to for counsel
  • Using your immediate circle to expand your network
  • Connect with and leverage experts for their knowledge, not just as a way to showcase diverse voices
