About the Podwize Group

The Podwize Group was officially founded in 2021 as an evolution of the work our founder, Angie Trueblood, began in 2017.

Started as a freelance business to connect women business owners with podcast hosts in complementary spaces, Angie quickly established herself as someone who expertly balances the needs of podcast guests, hosts and listeners.

As the business and its network of contacts grew, it became apparent that the natural evolution included supporting business owners not just as they guest on shows, but as they fully embrace podcasts as their visibility and content marketing platform of choice. Seeing that these needs weren’t currently being met by other agencies or companies, Angie began to envision the next iteration of her business.

The Podwize Group serves small business owners who are leveraging the power of podcasts both as guests and hosts.

Whether the team is pitching clients to be guests on relevant shows or supporting them as they use their own show to connect with potential clients, the Podwize Group prioritizes strategic planning, innovative thinking and authentic connections as an extension of an already established business.

Meet The Team

Angie brings her entrepreneurial spirit, innovative thinking, and superconnector powers to The Podwize Group as we transition into more deeply supporting business owners who are using podcasts as a core tenet of their business growth. As a life-long learner and someone who has experienced first-hand the impact podcasts can have on a business, Angie is quick to lean on the strengths of her teammates and network as she leads the company with her collaborative approach to business.

Personally, Angie is passionate about normalizing the voices of women in leadership positions, which she feels privileged to play an active role in through her work. When she’s not knee-deep in the podcasting space for work, she can be found spending time with her family and friends in Richmond, VA, bingeing the Smartless podcast, and attempting to develop a love of bourbon (a relatively failed effort, at this point).

Courtney joined Team Trueblood in September 2019 when she came to Angie for guidance on starting a home organizing business and instead, Angie offered her a job. Her background in education and ability to crush a to-do list have made her an instrumental part of the growth of The Podwize Group. As the behind-the-scenes support for our clients and students, Courtney leans on her attention to detail and wicked organization skills to ensure no interview is no-showed and that clients always feel taken care of.

When Courtney isn’t sporting her favorite ‘vintage’ robe as she supports The Podwize Group, she spends her time managing her kiddos’ screen time, navigating her love-hate relationship with working out, and, obvi, binging podcasts like This American Life. FUN FACT: Courtney and her hubs attended VT (go Hokies!) with Angie’s husband and has known him far longer than she has.

As an Outreach Executive, Vanessa supports clients through strategic pitching, empowering them with the space to share their knowledge and expertise through genuine, fruitful conversations. Using her background in tech-focused public relations, Vanessa is involved in strategy, pitching, and analyzing our results on behalf of clients.

When she’s not supporting the clients of The Podwize Group, Vanessa volunteers as a  Bilingual Crisis Counselor on the Crisis Text Line. And, in her REAL downtime, you’ll find her playing soccer with friends, seeking out a live music gig or laying out in the sun with a book, pen and paper.
